EVERY child is entitled to a Free and Public Education (FAPE) under federal law and it is our goal to make sure EVERY child has access to that free and public education, no matter what his or her special and unique needs are or what the school system has to do to meet those specific needs. We will work tirelessly and advocate on your child’s behalf to ensure that the school system is accurately evaluating your child, and making the appropriate accommodations for your child’s needs within the least restrictive environment.
We will consult with you and assist you in having your child properly evaluated, attend IEP and 504 meetings with you, and advocate and negotiate with your school to set your child up for success. If your home school cannot meet your child’s needs, we will fight to have your child appropriately placed in a school that is appropriate for your child, at the cost of the school system.
We believe that most situations can be solved through persuasive negotiation and advocacy with school and county officials and our aim is to correct negative situations that children with special needs find themselves in amiably and expeditiously. If that goal cannot be met, we are prepared to fight for your child’s rights by initiating and attending Due Process hearings on your behalf and initiate federal litigation if necessary.
We will also represent your child in any disciplinary matters including suspension and expulsion and ensure that your child’s legal rights are not being violated.
